Happy Halloween! It’s the best night of the year, and for me, a fitting end to a perfect October. It rained for most of the month, and I spent nearly every evening reading on my porch, bundled up and enjoying the cool autumn air. My daughter, who moved out in March, popped over for a few visits over fall break in which we chatted for hours and binge watched the Strike series on HBO. My son, who’s a sophomore at NAU, hosted us for a Saturday visit in Flagstaff, where we got to enjoy the beautiful campus and tour his research lab. My sixth grade teacher team dressed up as scary movies and lost the costume contest to a trio of Dunkin Donuts drinks, but, hey, you can’t win them all.
Tonight I’ll hang out on my porch again, this time to hand out candy to all the little cuties in their Halloween costumes, and maybe after that I’ll watch a scary movie or two. Hopefully you’ll be doing the same.
See you in November!
